How it started
In a bar in Montpelier VT. A friend and I were having some fun using a
deck of playing cards as proxies for whatever lived in our heads. Somewhere between
rounds it stopped being a goof and turned into a thing. That game became Shift, and
Shift was the prototype that finally pushed me to make a real business.
Made official, 2025
Charming Familiar Studio became official in 2025, but the truth is I've been making
and dreaming forever. Finishing some, shelving way more, always wondering if anyone
else out there would enjoy any of it.
Why this exists
You never know who else is going to like what you make. That's the whole reason this
exists. I wanted to finally put some of these dreams out into the world.
What gets made next
There's no plan. Tabletop one project, mobile app the next, who knows after that.
If it sounds fun, it gets built.
